November 5, 2019 – Special Municipal Election


A Special Municipal Election will be held on November 5, 2019. The Special Election will be for the placement of general tax measures for:
   •  Establishing a tax on cannabis businesses operating within the City of Stanton
   •  Amending the City's transient occupancy (Hotel) tax by increasing the rate from 8% to 12% and addressing online travel company and other third party bookings

General Municipal Elections are held in the City of Stanton on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November in even-numbered years.

To be eligible to vote in an election, you must register at least 15 days prior to the election date. Once you have registered, your voter registration will remain active, regardless of whether or not you voted in the last election.
