Teen Programming

The City of Stanton is dedicated to recognizing and promoting young people as valued and capable members of the public. With this commitment to the youth of our community, the Parks and Recreation Services Department has designed new teen programming and a leadership program entitled "Youth Action Alliance".

Youth Action Alliance
Teens get involved and have a voice. Join the Youth Action Alliance! The Youth Action Alliance is a group composed of young teens chosen to represent the community to provide youth involvement through community service projects, citywide special events, and teen activities. The goal of the Youth Action Alliance is to engage teens in positive and productive activities and experiences during the non-school hours. Teens are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of program activities, which focus on community service, personal skill development, and social/ recreational activities. The Youth Action Alliance is comprised of teen volunteers that meet and discuss avenues of interest for teens in the area. This program plans community service
projects and events for 13-18 years old.
