The City of Stanton invites you to its annual Halloween Fun With Family And Friends event scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 12 – 4 p.m. at Stanton Central Park, 10660 Western Avenue!

This special event is open to ghosts, goblins and witches of all ages. The event will feature games, DJ entertainment, spooky stories, craft making, costume contests, food booths and a howling good time for everyone. Be sure to bring a trick-or-treat bag!

Quick Tips:
•    Set your air conditioning to 78° or higher
•    Turn off all unnecessary lights
•    Postpone using major appliances until after 9:00 p.m.

 

EV Charging Stations at City Hall

The City of Stanton is helping save the environment one charge at a time with the recent installation of Charge Point electric vehicle stations at City Hall. Stations will provide residents and fleet vehicles with a cleaner energy supply and promote the reduction in fuel emissions within our environment.

Exciting new development is occurring along our Beach Blvd. corridor.  We currently have two properties under development: a new Del Taco at the corner of Beach Blvd. and Cerritos Ave., and a medical office building on Beach Blvd., just north of the CVS on the corner of Beach Blvd. and Lampson Ave.

The Stanton Community Foundation (SCF) awards 34 grants totaling $19,400 to 34 Stanton teachers through its Supply Our Schools (SOS) online grant program. This year’s SOS grant award is the highest award given by the foundation to date and will benefit 3,202 students who attend Saint Polycarp Catholic School, Bryant Elementary, Walter Elementary, Hansen Elementary, Lawrence Elementary, Pyles Elementary and Reid Elementary Schools.
