The City of Stanton Breaks Ground on Village Center Project

Sep 20 2018

Stanton, Calif. – September 20, 2018 – The City of Stanton, along with the City of Garden Grove, celebrated the groundbreaking of the Village Center project today.  The large, ambitious project, spans across both cities and is generally located at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Garden Grove Boulevard.

This family-friendly project includes almost 22 acres and creates a new destination for Stanton and Garden Grove residents. The master-planned, horizontal mixed-use development will feature a new retail center and 208 condominium units.

The expansive, commercial element of the project, developed by Frontier Real Estate Investments, includes popular businesses such as  In-N-Out Burger, Raising Cane’s, Chase Bank, Planet Fitness and opportunities for many more. The commercial phase of the project is connected to the residential portion via a long, wide greenbelt. People enjoying the food court and outdoor seating area will face the residential greenbelt for a seamless connection.

The housing component, developed by Brookfield Residential, will include a contemporary mix of two and three-story condominium structures, with enhanced architectural features facing Beach Blvd. Amenities include a children’s play area and adult residents enjoy premier features including pool and entertainment areas.

Mayor David J. Shawver expressed his enthusiasm over the groundbreaking of the project.

“This is a momentous occasion for the City of Stanton and our community,” Shawver said. “The Village Center project has been in the works for a number of years, so to finally see it starting to come to life is a very special moment for the City Council and our residents.”

Mayor Pro Tem Rigoberto Ramirez echoed Mayor Shawver’s words, noting that “this project will not only spur additional development but also revitalize the gateway to Stanton.”

“Nearly 76,000 cars drive up and down Beach Boulevard every day,”  Ramirez continued. “However, our City lacked attractions for those cars to stop and take in what we had to offer. That won’t be the case anymore with this project finally underway.”

The City of Stanton would like to thank the City of Garden Grove, Frontier Real Estate Investments and Brookfield Homes for being incredible proactive partners in making this large project a reality.
