The City’s Community Services Department has planned a variety of fun activities for residents of all ages and abilities to get everyone outdoors and moving including, Movie Night Under the Stars, Go Skateboarding and Competition event, Summer Day Camps, Stanton Camp Out, sport clinics and dance classes.

“This July we’re celebrating the importance of parks and recreation in our community.  Parks make our lives better through the use of outdoor fitness equipment, fun classes, sports, day camps and so much more, so stop by your local park and enjoy the outdoors!,” commented Julie Roman, Community Services Director.

Park and Recreation Month is an initiative of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), to educate on all the ways parks and recreation has the power to transform lives. From providing us with places to play, get fit and stay healthy to fostering new relationships and forging a connection with nature, our close-to-home community park and recreation facilities provide essential services and improve quality of life.
