Say No to Illegal Fireworks

The City would like to remind Stanton residents to celebrate the upcoming holiday responsibly and say no to illegal fireworks. Possession of illegal fireworks is a crime and is punishable by law. Fines range from $1,000-$80,000 per violations.

City of Stanton Moves up 32 Positions in California's Safest Cities List of 2021

Stanton, Calif. (April 13, 2021): SafeWise has released its seventh annual Safest Cities Report for 2021 that highlights the top 50 safest cities in California. This year, the City of Stanton has been listed as the 46th safest city in the State.

According to the report, the City of Stanton has moved up 32 positions on the list from 2020 to 2021. Rankings were established using recent crime statistics and data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

City of Stanton Partners with the County of Orange to Ramp Up Vaccine Efforts

Stanton, Calif. (March 31, 2021): Stanton's most vulnerable residents rolled up their sleeves today to receive their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at a mobile Point of Distribution (POD) site at the Stanton Community Center. The Stanton City Council pushed to fill the gap for residents that could not make it to the super PODs throughout Orange County. This effort offered a local and familiar option, made possible through a partnership between the City of Stanton and the Orange County Health Care Agency.

The City of Stanton is proud to announce the CDBG-CV funded Small Business Assistance Program. Grants for the payment of commercial rent and/or commercial utilities (gas, electric, and water) are available to qualified Stanton businesses experiencing financial hardship as a direct result of COVID-19.

Stanton City Council Supports Sheriff’s Appeal to Court Ruling

At a special meeting held on Monday, Dec. 21, the Stanton City Council voted unanimously to direct the City Attorney’s office to file or join an amicus brief in support of Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes’ challenge to a court order regarding the release of inmates.
