Notice of Availability of Surplus Land in the City of Stanton

Pursuant to the provisions of the Surplus Land Act (California Government Code Section 54220 et seq.) (the “Act”), the City of Stanton (“City”) hereby notifies those entities designated in Section 54222 of the Act of the availability for lease or purchase of the City- and Housing Authority-owned land identified in Exhibit 1 attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference (the “Development Site”), for the purposes authorized in the Act, which land the City has declared surplus by Resolution No. 2020-04, dated October 27, 2020, and prior to the disposition of the Development Site by the City, consistent with the Act and the City’s policies or procedures.

OC Restaurant Outdoor Dining Grant Program

County of Orange will make available $1,000 grants to 1,000 restaurants to purchase tents/canopies, lighting, and heaters/warmers to assist with outdoor dining. Grants will be available to those that qualify on a first-come, first-served basis.

As businesses begin to re-open in the City of Stanton, it is vital to assist restaurants, retail stores, and commercial establishments to operate in a safe manner where social distancing is maintained in accordance with guidance from the State of California and Orange County local health officials. It is critical that these establishments do so in a manner where social distancing is maintained to limit the spread of COID-19. Therefore, it is necessary to temporarily allow commercial businesses to operate on private property, parking lots, and public sidewalks.

Parking Enforcement Resumes July 6

Parking enforcement will resume Monday, July 6. We ask that all residents move their cars on scheduled street sweeping days and time. Also, cars parked in parking permit zones will be required to display a 2020-2021 parking permit or risk being cited for parking violation. Please be advised that warnings are being issued as a courtesy reminder. We thank the Stanton community for doing their part!
